Welcome to I-Hacked.com
 --------------------------------------------------
Electronics are everywhere, and technology drives pretty much everything we do in today's world. We show you how to take advantage of these electronics to make them faster, give them added features, or to do things they were never intended to do.

We are not a "cracking" site, we are hackers. Our inquisitive nature leads us to find ways of making technology work for us. We do not support unauthorized access into systems, breaking into email systems, or anything of that nature. Please do not email me asking me how to do this type of stuff.

Please enjoy your stay, check out the articles, and submit some of your own. As a community we can share our tips/tricks/and hacks with each other. The I-Hacked.com's "Most Wanted" are articles that we are currently looking for articles to be written about.

Articles are open to the public, however downloads and the forums are restricted to members only. If you are interested in becoming a member, please click here.

Ok, you may have heard of (or Read) of the "Hacker Mag" 2600.  Basically it is an "underground" (I am using that term very loosely) magazine related to the hacker scene.  Well you may not know it, but there are a lot of other hacker magazines out there.  I have listed the ones I know about (both print and E-Zines) hopefully there will be some that you may have not heard about.

SNES Gamepad to Parallel Adapter
Written by http://www.xmdtech.com
Sunday, 20 March 2005
Here I will explain how to make an adapter where you can plug your Super Nintendo gamepads and use on your computers parallel port (lpt.) You will not need to cut or modify the snes gamepads or connectors therefore you will still be able to use the controllers on the original super nintendo console.

There are several ways of going about this. You can simply convert an SNES multitap to plug into the parallel port, OR you can be l33t and integrate the controller ports into your system. Like this. Here, I'll be describing how to make an external adapter out of an SNES multitap. The two versions are very similar, you should be able to figure the internal one out once you read this. It's basically the same. In either case, you still need to get some stuff.

Finding and Using Open Source Software
Written by yohanorama@gmail.com
Friday, 18 March 2005

There are many FREE programs that are better than the product they replace. If you don't know it already, I'm talking about Open Source programs.

Many sites will host open source projects for free such as SourceForge (http://sourceforge.net) and FreshMeat (http://freshmeat.net/). You can start your own project or search for others.

Hacking BetaBrite LED Signs

I am sure you have seen them, they are everywhere. They are in our Schools, Bars, Workplaces, shops, well pretty much everywhere you look. I am talking about LED signs. In this article we will discuss how using some very basic tools take over these signs and use them to display what we want them to say. In PART1 We will discuss how we can be able to take over a lot of them "remotely", and then in PART2  we will discuss how we can build a special cable that will allow us to interface them with our computers to do some cool stuff.

Written by techfire
Wednesday, 16 March 2005

Upgrading your DMP1's hard drive is fairly simple. The Omnifi DMP1 comes with a 20GB drive. While sufficient for some, I wanted more. This guide steps you through the process of replacing your factory drive. As always, modifying your Omnifi in any way will void your warranty.

Written by hevnsnt
Wednesday, 16 March 2005
You may have read our article on finding and using anonymous proxies. In this article we used a windows box to find and check proxies.  Member my_haz (Finding Mp3's with Google) has released a new tool, a python based proxy checker.

A muti-threaded proxy checker written in python meant to be used on *nix systems. Checks a list of HTTP proxies against external proxy judges for a set of interesting parameters. It attempts to determine if the proxy is anonymous, not anonymouse, gateway, or down. It also returns binary results for Variable HTTP_X_FORWARD_FOR, HTTP_VIA, and HTTP_PROXY_CONNECTION.

Members can download it here.

The History and Science of Lock Pick Guns
Written by Tommy Tyler
Tuesday, 15 March 2005
Ever since keyed locks were invented thousands of years ago, man has attempted to circumvent the need for keys by picking them. And it was only a matter of time before special tools and machines would be developed in an effort to make this tedious job faster and easier. In the early 1930's, locksmiths began developing "guns" that used mechanical or electrical energy to speed up the picking process. Here's an article for those who thoroughly understand the practice of manual lock picking and would like to know more about the details of lock pick guns and how they work. It will explain the principles involved in both mechanical and electrical lock pick guns, but will make no attempt to teach the techniques of using one or comment on which type is most effective.
