Welcome to I-Hacked.com
--------------------------------------------------
Electronics are everywhere, and technology
drives pretty much everything we do in today's world. We show you how to
take advantage of these electronics to make them faster, give them
added features, or to do things they were never intended to do.
We
are not a "cracking" site, we are hackers. Our inquisitive nature leads
us to find ways of making technology work for us. We do not support
unauthorized access into systems, breaking into email systems, or
anything of that nature. Please do not email me asking me how to do
this type of stuff.
Please enjoy your stay, check out the articles, and submit some of your
own. As a community we can share our tips/tricks/and hacks with each
other. The I-Hacked.com's "Most Wanted" are articles that we are
currently looking for articles to be written about.

Hacking BetaBrite LED Signs

I am sure you have seen them, they are everywhere. They are in our Schools,
Bars, Workplaces, shops, well pretty much everywhere you look. I am talking
about LED signs. In this article we will discuss how using some very basic tools
take over these signs and use them to display what we want them to say. In PART1 We will
discuss how we can be able to take over a lot of them "remotely", and then in PART2 we will discuss
how we can build a special cable that will allow us to interface them with our
computers to do some cool stuff.

Upgrading your DMP1's hard drive is fairly simple. The Omnifi DMP1 comes with a 20GB drive. While sufficient
for some, I wanted more. This guide steps you through the process of
replacing your factory drive. As always, modifying your Omnifi in any
way will void your warranty. |

You may have read our article on finding and using anonymous proxies. In this article we used a windows box to find and check proxies. Member my_haz (Finding Mp3's with Google) has released a new tool, a python based proxy checker.
A muti-threaded proxy checker written in python meant to be used on
*nix systems. Checks a list of HTTP proxies against external proxy
judges for a set of interesting parameters. It attempts to determine
if the proxy is anonymous, not anonymouse, gateway, or down. It also
returns binary results for Variable HTTP_X_FORWARD_FOR, HTTP_VIA, and
HTTP_PROXY_CONNECTION.
Members can download it here.

Ever since keyed locks were invented thousands of years ago, man has attempted to circumvent the need for keys by picking them. And it was only a matter of time before special tools and machines would be developed in an effort to make this tedious job faster and easier. In the early 1930's, locksmiths began developing "guns" that used mechanical or electrical energy to speed up the picking process. Here's an article for those who thoroughly understand the practice of manual lock picking and would like to know more about the details of lock pick guns and how they work. It will explain the principles involved in both mechanical and electrical lock pick guns, but will make no attempt to teach the techniques of using one or comment on which type is most effective. |

We have discussed making a smoothwall box into your personal firewall in a previous article called: Make your own Hardend Internet Firewall. This article will build on that one, focusing on how to remotely control your home computers using VNC over a SECURE SSH tunnel. This might seem like a daunting task, but using this guide it will be a piece of cake. Most of the hard work has already been done for you if you are running a smoothwall firewall. Tunnelling over SSH will work with all versions of Smoothwall.
You can read this EXCELLENT article on Martybugs.net via this link.
