Welcome to I-Hacked.com
 --------------------------------------------------
Electronics are everywhere, and technology drives pretty much everything we do in today's world. We show you how to take advantage of these electronics to make them faster, give them added features, or to do things they were never intended to do.

We are not a "cracking" site, we are hackers. Our inquisitive nature leads us to find ways of making technology work for us. We do not support unauthorized access into systems, breaking into email systems, or anything of that nature. Please do not email me asking me how to do this type of stuff.

Please enjoy your stay, check out the articles, and submit some of your own. As a community we can share our tips/tricks/and hacks with each other. The I-Hacked.com's "Most Wanted" are articles that we are currently looking for articles to be written about.

Articles are open to the public, however downloads and the forums are restricted to members only. If you are interested in becoming a member, please click here.

Hacking Remote Control Signals
Written by Tommy N. Tyler
Sunday, 27 February 2005

Did you ever wonder what those remote control signals being sent to your TV, VCR, garage door opener, or ceiling fan look like? This article will show you how to capture them on a PC with some simple probes you can easily build with less than $5 in parts, and a remarkable piece of freeware that turns the PC into a pretty fast 8-channel digital logic analyzer. The probes described are not long range receivers. They must be held close to the transmitter to pickup a signal. But the RF Probe has been tested over a range of frequencies from 27 MHz to over 470 MHz, and the IR Probe will show you infrared carrier frequencies well above those used by most consumer product remote controls. You can measure carrier frequency, pulse spacing, burst on and off times, message repeat intervals, etc., everything you could want for identifying, decoding, or duplicating remote control signals.

I am leaving the information up so that you are able to use the techniques described for other sites. Please do not use Surfjunky.

This is a follow up to the "Hacking Paid For Surf :: Using Firefox!" (which has been removed because it is now outdated".  This article now contains COMPLETE HOW-TO HACK the SurfJunky Pay-2-Surf page.

In case you have not yet heard, but Pay for Surf type sites have RETURNED!!

This is good news for those of us who spend UNGODLY amount of time online (yours truely of course) The site I am referring to is SurfJunky.com. This site uses a Framed Browser window to pop-up ads every 30 seconds it will pop that window up and show you an ad. You click off the window and continue surfing..

Well, I don’t know about you, but I used to make a killing off of AllAdvantage with those browser hacks. If you run the program for 24 hrs/day @ $.75 / hr = $18 / day = $540. Might as well get paid for all that surfing you do. So lets find a browser hack to clean up on this..

Using a cool hack in Firefox, we can keep this window in a tab and keep it from “popping up” yet continue racking up the $$$$… Here is how!

Special Thanks to:

Using a laptop as a Wireless hub for your PlayStation 2
Written by JuddMan
Monday, 21 February 2005

This allows you to play your ps2 anywhere in the house without running long network cables along the floor. I did this as an experiment as I was tired of dragging a cable into the lounge, and I prefer to keep the PS2 in my bedroom, which is on the opposite side of the house to the network and desktop PC. Moving the modem  was not an option, and I already had a wireless network set up with my Laptop.

Growing Pains Continued..
Written by hevnsnt
Sunday, 20 February 2005
For far I think I have fixed *MOST* of the bugs that have been submitted to me, I thank each and every one of you who let me know when you found these bugs.  I am still working on the RSS feeds issue, and hopefully will get it resolved in the next couple days.

Other than that I have some big announcements!

I-Hacked will be moving to our own DEDICTATED SERVER tomorrow evening.  This server will enable me to release 3 new hacks I have been working on.  I have been hesitant to release these hacks because I was afraid the increased traffic would kill the server again.  Trust me you are going to love these hacks. =)

The new server brings a very heavy bill along with it, I would appreciate if you could help out the site by visitng the sponsors (Google Ads on the left) These ads help pay the bills around here.

FIREFOX TIP:  Hold down CTRL when you click a link to open that link in a new tab.  If you have a scroll wheel on your mouse you can also open the link in a new tab by clicking on that link with the scroll wheel.

Also I would like to invite you to start visiting my new site http://edge.i-hacked.com.  I use this blog style site to keep track of some of the cooler things happening on the internet.  It often is a fast paced news/article/hack site, so I suggest you visit it a few times every day!
