Details are still emerging but I wanted to give i-hacked readers the heads up.
Once again, the organizers of Defcon have graciously given me the opportunity to use one of their skyboxes during the conference. We want to make sure that everyone at Defcon has a great time so this is what you have to look forward to:
During the day, I-Hacked will be hosting the Podcasters Meetup (http://www.podcastersmeetup.com) The Podcasters Meetup is a time and place for podcasters to meet each other, discuss current topics, and will be a private place that can be used to record their own "private" shows.
During the afternoon, I-Hacked along with the Podcasters Meetup crew will open the doors allowing for you to meet and greet some of your favorite podcasters, and of course do a live podcast right from Defcon16! Be a part of history -- who knows there might be some special guests making some appearances. =)
Party all night: Did you hear? The Ninja Network party has been canceled. Trust me I am disappointed too. =( But we will do our best to fill that void. We are bringing multiple DJ's (including Great Scott!) from around the world to battle, plus in true I-Hacked fashion plan to have some cool toys to play with. THIS PARTY IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, but you might want to keep your eyes out for I-Hacked badges.
Where: The Riviera Hotel and Casino, Skybox Room 208 -- Next to the Hardware Hacking Village (MAP HERE) When: The Meet & Greet starts 7:00pm, Live show starts at 8:00, and party starts PROMPTLY after that. All times are subject to change.
Special Thanks to our Sponsors: Astaro, and Accu Laser Engraving. If you would like to sponsor this event (including the Podcaster Meetup) please contact sponsors@i-hacked.com

Picture this, You spot a keyring laying on a desk. You for whatever reason would really like a copy of that key. Your ninja-like reflexes kick in as you fling a quarter out of your pocket next to the key. Slyly, you use nothing more than a cell phone camera, to quickly snap a picture of these items.
Nobody noticed this because you are a ninja, however there are plenty of ways for "normals" to make that action next to unnoticeable. Even leaving the quarter there afterwards may not raise much suspicion. Hell, Someone may even pocket it without batting an eye.
Using the process outlined below, you can now duplicate this key for your own use!

In today's video, P!nk Thr3@t shows the boys how to fix the Xbox 360 3 Red Rings of Death (3 rrod). This is the full blown deal, No need to buy any products or waste your time on the hokey "towel fix".
Generally, the 3rrod error is caused by a solder problem, where points on the GPU/CPU have worked loose – or a temperature problem causing the same result. Following this guide, you should be able to fix these joints, quickly and easily! We have used this process to repair over 10 Xbox360s successfully.

Picture this: You find yourself sitting in a hotel room that does not offer wireless internet... As you look out the window, you spot that the three hotels & a Starbucks across the street advertising "Free Wireless Internet" -- if only you had known this when you booked! You fire up your wireless card, but the signal just is to weak to keep a consistent connection. What are you going to do? Enter “The Predator”.
The predator is a modified wireless router connected to a high-powered antenna and running custom firmware to actively
seek out open wireless connections. Once they are found, it will test them for internet connectivity and then join and repeat the one with the strongest signal to secured wireless connection that YOU
control. =)
*Note: It is illegal to use a wireless access point that you are not authorized to use.

So, it was raining today.. and I was bored (the rain had nothing to do with my boredom XD)

So, I decided I would crack open my mouse and see if I could do anything to it, that's when I noticed the + and - holes on the board... just begging to get some LEDs in them
So here we go, here is how to brighten up that diamondback with not soldering a bit |

Ok so things have been a little slow around here -- Time to change that. We are going to start featuring some how-to articles focusing on hacking on or with with the Asus eee PC.
Look forward to step by step tutorials covering: -Installing BackTrack3 -Attacking WiFi (Cracking WEP, Drifting, SideJacking) -Hardware hacking (touchscreen, upgrading, etc)
For those who dont know, the EEE PC is a cheap Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC), that has proven itself to be a great hacking platform. From the great modding community working on it to the ability to install your own Linux OS -- this is something that I-Hacked readers will enjoy.
Right now is a great time to buy these so you can go along with the hacks, and using some coupons Buy.com has the best deal.
I would suggest getting the 4G model (model comparison here) since it has the upgradeable ram, longer battery life, and webcam. The 4G can be found at most of your favorite retailers for $399 (plus tax, plus shipping) but Buy.com has it RIGHT NOW for 399.99 - 15.00 (using coupon) + Free Shipping. JUMP ON THIS.
- Here is how to do it, use the link below and add the Eee PC to your cart<
4G Black Eee PC
 4G White Eee PC
 - Add the 5% off Buy.com order coupon by clicking this link
Coupon Code
- While you are there, you might think about adding another 2GB of memory, such as:
Crucial 2GB PC2-5300 667MHz 200-pin SODIMM DDR2 Laptop Memory With free shipping (with added Ram) my total came to $384.99 + 49.99 = 434.98 - 15MIR = $419.00
Trust me, we got some great articles coming on this device -- and it makes for a GREAT HACKTOP! |
