Are you thinking about buying that new shiny iPhone? Do you like that pretty new interface, and cool touchscreen interface? Well guess what you don’t have to wait in line to get those features, lets mod YOUR phone to emulate it! For these instructions you will need a touchscreen phone running Windows Mobile 5 or 6. We will be using an HTC Mogul 6800 for our mod. Let it be known that you can also mod a Palm based device to look like an iPhone but in this article we will only be focusing on the WM based phones.

With everything going wireless, it's a logical choice to have a wireless printer. They can range from a couple hundred dollars to a couple thousand, depending on what kind of printer you choose.
But you don't want to invest in a new printer when the one you have works perfectly. Well I found a solution! And it is very inexpensive!
The key to this setup was the router. Fonera makes a very small wireless B/G router which makes it easy to install anywhere. You can find them on ebay for less then $20
The original firmware would not do for my project so I installed DD-WRT. and I would like to thank all those who answered my questions and helped me at www.dd-wrt.com
So now I will show you the construction on my wireless network printer adapter. |

I have been
a huge fan of Radio scanners for years now. But one of my favorite handheld
radio scanners, and one of the more popular ones, was the Radio Shack Pro-95. I
noticed when I was reading the manual that some frequencies were blocked. I
couldn’t believe that Radio Shack blocked over 148,000 frequencies! The Pro-95
is a great scanner but I wanted to unlock its full potentional. This article
will explain how to unlock certain frequencies for both the Pro-93 and the
Pro-95 that were originally blocked by Radio Shack. |

Recently a company called FON started giving away their Fon Routers for free (like here: http://www.fon.com/en/promos/fonbucks )
The idea behind this router is that you hook it up to your internet connection, and it transmits two wifi signals, a WPA secured one, and a unencrypted FON_something signal. From there, you manage your Fon from your user zone on www.fon.com. You choose to charge people for access to your open FON signal or not. For more information on the Fon's original purpose, see their site.
Now, this is all well and good. But, what if you could hack this little free router? And maybe install something like dd-wrt, a firmware that many people put on the older Linksys routers. Well, that's what we're going to do today =)
Free router + installing dd-wrt = yay. |
