Charge and Play an iPod Shuffle at the Same Time
Written by LINkin0827
Thursday, 01 June 2006
When using my iPod shuffle right next to a computer, it’s hard not to want to play and charge the device at the same time. I did some research and came up with this: Here’s what you need to build your own:
  • Computer with an open molex connector (the yellow, black, black, and red wires that supply power to your optical drive, hard drive, etc.)
  • Any kind of molex adapter that you don’t mind cutting up (mine is an SATA power adapter)
  • USB extension cord that you’ll be cutting up (mine looks weird, but essentially, it does the same thing)
  • iPod Shuffle
  • Wire cutters
  • Electrical tape & Heatshrink tubing

Install a Wireless Card Into Your XBOX
Written by BrutalByte
Monday, 10 April 2006
In this tutorial, I will show you how to install a wireless game adapter into your XBOX internally so that you can have a wireless connection, where available, without the extra hardware. Please read all the way through this tutorial before attempting.  If you feel at all like you cannot accomplish this modification to your XBOX, DON'T.  I am not responsible for any damage to your XBOX, expressed or implied, simply because this is a DIY tutorial.  USE THIS TUTORIAL AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Performance boost for X800 GT cards with R480 GPU
Written by PastryLikeDood
Saturday, 25 March 2006
Some hackers had noticed that their Powercolor X800 GT's were being improperly identified as having R423 chips, even though they have checked and found that they are indeed R480 chips. After some poking around and bios hacking, they found that using the hacked bios rather than the Powercolor X800 GT bios at the same clock speed and both at 8 pipelines yielded at least a 100 point increase (potentially a 200 point increase) in 3dmark05 scores at X800 GT clock speeds.

Running SNES games on a PSP with firmware 2+
Written by adrelith
Wednesday, 22 March 2006
If you own a PSP then I'm sure that by now you've heard something about the ability to run 'arbitrary code' (a.k.a. homebrew) on ANY version of the PSP's firmware. This article is to help those of you who haven't yet done so and wish to. When I started to play around with homebrew on my version 2.6 PSP I found that a lot of readme files were corrupt, incorrect, not in English or simply non-existent.

Although this tutorial describes how to get a SNES emulator running on PSP it can also be applied to running most homebrew.

Hardware Review: Neuros MPEG4 Recorder 2
Written by hevnsnt
Wednesday, 15 March 2006

I recently read on Gizmodo that Sony plans on releasing a "Memory Stick Video recorder" which is device that records video from a TV or DVD player via composite or S-video and analog audio inputs, recording the signal directly onto a Memory Stick Pro Duo for playback on the Playstation Portable (PSP). They are going to be asking $215 for this device, and it wont be available for a few months. My first thought... *GASP* Sorry Sony, but it is a little to late. I have been testing a device for the last couple weeks that can already do this, the Neuros MPEG4 Recorder 2.

G2P.ORG
Written by hevnsnt
Tuesday, 07 March 2006
I have been working on a new site (ok, not working very hard) that I would like to release to you guys, I would really like feedback on it.

http://www.g2p.org

What is G2P.org?
Think of P2P file sharing, except google is one of those people.  Using some very special searches, we are able to search for specific files (and file types) using google.  We have covered most of the searches this in the previous article Google Hacking.  What G2P is currently tuned to find is MP3s, Ebooks, and gives the ability to use google as a Proxy.  These searches alone are nothing secret, but G2P puts them easy to use (and remember) interface.

Oh, and yes you do truely become elite by simply finding passwords using google. =)

More to come..
