VCR to monitor for TV - 2007/03/06 02:42 I need a patch cord, 3 into 2 from an old (1997) Panasonic monitor to my VCR to use the tuner to make a TV. Radio Shack was no help. Anyone? Thanks.

Re:VCR to monitor for TV - 2007/03/06 07:46 What exactly do you mean? If it's r/w/y -> r/y then you're fine, just don't use the white and you'll only get sound in mono. I'm not sure that's what you're asking though, what type of cables are we talking? "Our Generation has had no Great war, no Great Depression. Our war is spiritual. Our depression is our lives..."

Re:VCR to monitor for TV - 2007/03/29 05:51 3 into 2... have no idea as to what you are talking about... but... the video signal a VCR outputs is not in the RGB format... it is a combined signal. I assume you are trying to hook a VGA monitor up to watch tv on it. SO, simply put, you cant do it unless:
1.(possible, not sure) you have a vcr that outputs component video
2.build something to split it...
3.buy something to split it.
your easiest solution is the 3rd, Link to tuner
