DIRTY MIRT - 2009/05/08 06:35 I would like some help with building the MIRT. I have some questions. all the ground symbols, are they just a common point for all the other ground symbols or does the -12vdc get hooked there. the incoming +12vdc to the timer circuit, after it connects with pins 8/4 of the 555, how is it routed through the 500k pot? the output of the ir driver from the collector of both transistors is it connected to the - or + of the IR MODULE? the other connection to the IR MODULE is it just plain +12vdc coming off the power supply? is all ground points between the IR MODULE and the timing circuit connected together or is it -12vdc input. i have built this thing four times and still have not gotten it to work. the regular test LED just lights continually and nothing happens. Finally, does the 500k pot adjust the voltage or just vary the IC time constant for the flash rate. I hope one of you can help me. THANKS, GARY
