Gamecube Hacking - 2006/06/19 13:40 I am on school holidays at the moment and have to have an operation on my feet on thursday that'll put me outta action for a couple of days. Looking through some junk mail today I found a great deal that'll kill any boredom monkeys jumping on my back. That deal is: a gamcube and something like Mario Soccer for $100 AUD. In my opinion a gamecube and a game for the price of a PS2 or XBOX game is a great deal. I have never even played a gamecube but hell, if it only entertains me for 3 days that's worth the 100.

Now to my question, does anyone know about any hacks for the gamecube? I've looked around, but all I seem to find is information about modchips, which don't really float my boat, as I have never had one (apart from my ps1 which came modded). I have heard vague references about running SNES and NES games using a 'network hack' but can't find any info.

If anyone can find or point me in the direction of anything I'll probably end up writing a tutorial for i-hacked seeming there isn't anything about the gc on the site (That means your name would be in the credits ) Anyways, any information would be greatly appreciated.

Try that.

Re:Gamecube Hacking - 2006/06/20 01:25 Some great information! +Karma for you I wont be able to try this until I get the game "Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II" and a broadband adapter but it was a great read.
When, and if I do, try this out I'll do a write-up for it (presuming I'm successful )
Thanks again.

P.S. More info welcome if there is anything not covered in that link about ^^^^^

Re:Gamecube Hacking - 2006/06/21 06:48 Yeah, thats the only type of network gamecube hacking i've actually ever heard of, so im not sure if there is any more out there... but good luck.

Re:Gamecube Hacking - 2006/06/23 03:28 Ok, took a little while for a reply (I've been busy + in hospital) but here it is:

The deal I ended up getting turned out WAY better than I first though. Instead of a GC and Mario Football for $99 AUD I got a GC, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Animal Crossing (with free memory card) for $96 AUD. They changed the deal because they sold out of the Mario game. The two games cost $49 each so that means I got the Gamecube for $-2!

Anyways, I've looked in to getting a copy or Phantasy Star Online from a couple of local game stores and they said they'll give me a call if anything comes up. Fingers crossed
