need idea for door locks - 2006/09/22 03:57 Myself and a few guys have rented a house for the school year, and we're in the process of moving in. I'd like to put a lock on my room, but want something a little bit more high-tech than your average key lock. The ideas I've been able to come up with are:

1) HID/rfid cards. Cool, but way too expensive.
2) Biometrics! Fingerprint scanner locks. Really cool, but they're over $100.

Can anyone else think of any cool homebrewed door locks I could make/buy for cheap?
