well... supposedly there have been cases of both... people lying and getting out of it... and others where people were asked to provide proof... but it's like anything else i suppose. If you talk with the CS rep... and you seem legit, have nothing to hide, and generally seem friendly and reputable, they will do pretty much anything for you. ( I had my phone repaired after a bout a year and a half by the tech at no charge because we started discussing electronics...lmao )
... if you look like you belong... no one will bother you...
