Can Anybody Find A Way to Rip These? - 2008/03/10 22:11 http://www.prenhall.com/techtv/

I can't rip the .mov files. I open the reference movie (.mov) files, and have tried everything from vlc to streamrippers with no luck. The reference files indicate the URL to an rtsp stream, which won't work even in quicktime. Somehow, though, these vids are playing in the browser plugin only.

Re:Can Anybody Find A Way to Rip These? - 2008/03/13 17:29 well, if you grab the first reference .mov, rename to text... you get the rtsp link. If you grab the 2nd file that it is directing to, you get another link that is IP based. You should be able to use a stream ripper on these links. (will post a file of links shortly).

btw, if you do manage to rip these I want a set!

Re:Can Anybody Find A Way to Rip These? - 2008/03/14 20:50 He was just streaming via rtsp...I didn't notice the second IP based.

Oh...and I found some others, among lots of other stuff...and I'm downloading 50gb or so of old TechTV shows and stuff...

And have you seen my archeological finds? Wrote an article for 2600 about it...

Re:Can Anybody Find A Way to Rip These? - 2008/03/15 02:26 you might want to try VideoDownloadHelper, an extension for firefox.
it seems to pester me and say "hey i can download this really hidden obscure video for you!"
