Theory for PSP recovery - 2006/03/26 21:52
Following my PSP's semi-bricking, I came up with a plan.
The PSP can still boot UMDs and play UMD games flawlessly. However it is a 1.50 PSP.
I am going to attempt to use the GTA exploit to run FlashMod to restore my fragged font files (they are what is corrupted). As far as how I'm going to get GTA to boot, I'm going to try the UMD Swap Exploit. I don't know if this will work, but in my view, $60-70 for a cardreader to transfer the hacked saves to my mem stick and a copy of GTA is alot better than $250 for a new PSP. Plus I'm buying GTA from EBgames and a card reader from the stupidest people I can think of: Wal Mart.
I'm going out in afew hours to get my parts need, results (if any) will follow. If this works, I can continue for font work with NO FEAR, thus I can try many different things.
