Hotmail Upgrade, from 2 to 250 in a matter of seco - 2004/12/23 00:50 For those of you outside of the US, or who have still not got upgraded...

A while ago, I believe in June, Microsoft announced that it was going to increase the Hotmail inbox capacity from 2 to 250 mb. While this was only for Americans, there is a way for us non-Americans to instantly upgrade our 2 mb account to 25 mb and later on to 250 mb. Here's the trick:

1) Sign in to hotmail
2) Go to settings
3) Click on the Personal tab
4) Choose My Profile
5) Change the country to United States, the state to Florida and the postal code (zip code) to 33332. To be sure, also change the language to English.
6) Follow this link: http://by17fd.bay17.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/Accountclose and click Proceed every time
7) Sign in again and click Proceed to activate your account again.

You will notice that your account has increased from 2 mb to 25 mb. I've tried it myself. The upgrade from 25 mb to 250 can take everything from a day till a week. Enjoy!
