i can short out the power on wires of the PSU and stuff will power up, but not when it's connected to the mobo.
either way, i'm taking it back under warranty to be diagnosed...

Re:in need of help! - 2007/08/22 07:08 if it is a whole computer (compaq, dell, sony, gateway, etc...) be sure to copy your hard drive stuff first... at least important stuff... cause if the mobo is dead... they wont replace it... they will give you a new puter.

Re:in need of help! - 2007/08/23 03:12 Well here is a thought. Maybe you broke the front button. I've done it before. Try jumping the pins on the board that go to the front switch.
