Re:Suggestions/ideas for a hack - 2005/02/04 03:33 Pics below message:

The problem with the Altioids thing (I've seen it) is that is only uses Compact Flash media. I am talking about a HDD based player kit that I saw quite a long while a go.

The first image is the top outside of the box
the second is a side view
the third is an inside view with the false bottom removed, which has the divider cut out of it. Nice little mirror in there too.

search slashdot -- there's a good article on there from an MIT-site that was posted recently about a DIY mp3 player in an altoids box. It was actually pretty involved! good luck

^There is the link to that if you wanted it^

I might try that actually, I don't have too much money and am not currently working on any projects.

http://www.fileplanet.com was mainly the site I was refering too, but I am sure there are many other sites with similar "caps" on thier downloads.

Also, fileplanet makes you wait in line before you can start a download if you aren't a subscriber. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around waiting in line?

Post edited by: moron, at: 2005/02/04 02:07
