wi-fi setup - 2005/10/07 06:45 does anyone know wihich is better, the d link wireless or the linksys . I have the d link and a 2.4 gig phone and I keep getting a lot of interfence that makes me loose signal. is it just d link or all wireless systems that do that.I was thinking of get all linksys wireless setup

Re:wi-fi setup - 2005/10/07 11:57 I use Linksys because I get them free. They all use the same frequencies, though. You can change the particular channel you want your system to use, and probably should to test it out. If you still have problems, get a 5.8GHz phone. These are usually labelled as "Wireless Network Safe" because they use higher frequencies than the wireless networks do. They usually don't cost much more than 2.4GHz phones either.

Re:wi-fi setup - 2005/12/07 19:34 yea, i would prefer a linksys. right now at home, im using some cheapo d-link (just use with laptop), and the range kinda sucks compared to the linksys here at work. Then again, the linksys here at work is a wrt model and has linux running on it. The settings are tweaked to give the greatest amount of power possible to the antennas.
