screw the embers only community. they pretty much suck except for a few people. considering that it is a pretty much dead forum, why not post this.
This is a list that I recently compiled on how to send SMS messages for free using email. It is very easy, but you need to know the service provider for their cell (Verizon, Cingular, etc.) It is my first article submitted to any site.
Sending Free SMS Messages
Step 1a: Find out the cell service provider for person who you are sending an SMS to.
Step 1b: Start by opening up your email client. Preferably Gmail just because it is Gmail.
Step 2: Look at the table I have compiled below.
Step 3: Enter the cellphone number in the send to: box, followed by whatever my chart has for the service provider.
Step 4: In the body of the email, put your message. Hit send to send it.
Sprint @messaging.sprintpcs.com
T-mobile @tmomail.net
Verizon @vtext.com
Cingular @cingularme.com
ATT @mmode.com
Other* @teleflip.com
*Can be used for any provider, but in my experiences the direct method is much better.
