hard drive partitions - 2007/01/10 00:36 I had a dual boot system with linux and windows xp. I have since removed linux and would like to resize my windows partition back to its normal size. is there a free software out ther that does that without loosing any of my files in the windows partition? Thanks a head of time

personally, I would just make an extended partition from the old linux one in disk management, then it would be like two hard drives in one

Re:hard drive partitions - 2007/01/10 04:40 You could use a program called Partition Magic, which will let you resize and merge partitions without deleting files on them. You could also look into using a live linux distro with qtparted pre-installed. It's a similar program to Partition Magic, except it runs in Linux. I've tried to use it before but finds it hangs a little so my top recommendation would be Partition Magic. Problem being, it's not free
