oke - 2005/01/02 23:46 I have a suggestion for a few (30 or so) lol projects.

Has anyone heard of Future Horizons http://www.futurehorizons.net
or amazing1 http://www.amazing1.com ?

They have tons of cool electronic experiments. Many of them come from these books by Bob Ianni. http://half.ebay.com/search/search.jsp?query=1023586788&search_by=contributor_id&meta_id=1&domain_id=1856&redirect=1

Does anyone have any of these plans? Post them if you do please. I am going to buy those books sometime though.

Re:oke - 2005/01/03 00:09 i am currently most interested in the ruby laser pistol

the lightsabers are cool too, but the schematic is there somewhere free for them...i also (couple years ago) saw some German kids' website where they built a laser that looked like a lightsaber. They used it to cut fruits, vegitables, and a full model of darth vader into pieces. LoL. The stuff in the books is really good, I am going to buy those sometime.

Another interest is in the devices Nikola Tesla invented, especially the electricity transmitter and the death ray.

Re:oke - 2005/05/03 14:35 I've been working on a project to increase my laziness...unfortunately this is hard work. What I want to create is a remote-controlled sliding glass door so that I can let my dog out w/o getting up. (yes, very lazy). I have the linear actuator and motor but am working on the circuit. I'm pretty new to this but am still hoping it'll work. I'll see if I can post the schematics for your enjoyment/constructive-criticsm. (btw, the remote part is just a hacked $13 doorbell from Home Depot)
