Re:Fon hacking confusion - 2007/03/20 04:01 umm, just because you connected the ethernet, doesn't mean your ssh connection method changed.

Okay, now, let’s disconnect the FON’s power. Plug in an ethernet cable that will allow it to connect to the internet, don’t worry, it can’t upgrade it’s firmware now.

Plug back in the power cord. You should have ethernet and power cords connected now.

Wait for it to boot..

Connect to “MyPlace” wifi signal, WPA key is S/N on the bottom of your FON.
SSH to 192.168.10.1 on port 22
User: root

Pass: admin


Also, when you reset the Fon with the switch, you destroyed the modifications you made to enable ssh, so you'll need to start from square one.
