Re:Memory Card Data Recovery - 2007/04/20 05:30 Well, if a customer deletes a file on a memory card(or any solid state media), they have until the next write cycle to recover it, otherwise it's gone forever. What I mean by this, is if they delete a file, pop the SD card back in their camera, and take a picture, the file they deleted IS GONE FOREVER. I have actually tested this for myself with my flash drives and recovery software.

as for the "smash and grab" of their memory card... you could EASILY make a batch file go in, and copy all files from their drive, and dump em to another drive. If you need it made, feel free to reply to me at *removed due to random emails*. I will generally get back the same day ( i'm a little slow right now because it is "hell week" (finals) at school.)
