Argh... - 2007/09/02 09:22 Alright, so I finally got my computer up and running again. Managed to remove Norton (for the most part). I even hacked off the annoying little bubbles that appear from time to time in the bottom right of the screen. Woo hoo right?

WRONG.

For some reason or another one particularly determined bubble will NOT stop making the little noise and, in turn, annoying the hell out of me.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make these thing show again? or on how to make them shut the hell up?

Thanks~

Re:Argh... - 2007/09/02 22:25 define "unhack." then tell me how to do it without rewriting windows to my computer. Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to

Re:Argh... - 2007/09/12 05:16 Well I got the problem solved.... by completely reinstalling windows. =

As far as I could tell, the registry files were messed up from the get-go. I never even got the chance to edit them- they just died on their own.

Oh well, more examples of Windows and its superior abilities.

Re:Argh... - 2007/09/12 05:27 Sadly enough doody, we (I was over at Codey's) installed Fedora Core on it and I played with it a little while- but it was too big a transition to make so close to leaving for college and getting an apple laptop... so I figured I could handle it for another year and a half.

But yes, if it were more time I think I would have switched...
