Okay, so I have a Nokia 6315i with Verizon. This Nokia is a VCast Music phone, yet it lacks half its @#$*ing software, which is what I thought from the start.
Speaking of the start. I first went to my local VW store and picked up the music essentials kit for the rapingly high price of $25 It didn’t detect my phone. So then I went to using a card reader with my MiniSD card (the memory the nokia uses) I could get songs on the phone, but there was no way to play them, if you hold down the play button on the front of the phone, it flashes something wit the word Playlist for a second then goes back to my outer screen background, the time, and VERIZON WIRELESS. So I go to the VW store again, and I’m told that the phone, although all of the site was said to use MP3s actually uses WMAs. With some doubt I went home and tried the VCast Music Software on my PC again, and again it didn’t detect the phone. So I call the dreaded 800 number, work my way through the automated menus, state my problem, and then I proceed to be transfered to an out-sourced technical support rep (which I hate.) He is utterly useless and basically repeats my problem to me, then has me running around in circles for about an hour. Finally, he tells me I should go to my local VW store and see their technician to get my phone flashed (even though right now it’s the right software version, for some reason it’s missing stuff.) So he gives me the number for my local VW store (I’ve been there I think.. 2 times now?) So I call them to make sure the tech is still there and hasn’t left for the day; turns out, they don’t have a tech anymore at that location and the nearest tech is 45 minutes away in the wonderful city of Memphis (#^%$#^%$&#%#*#$^#($^&#%$@!!!!) So here’s where I stand: I have a phone that’s missing half the software that it should have, and I have to drive for about an hour just to get something fixed, that shouldn’t be #%#ing broken in the first place!
In conclusion, Verizon sucks, I’d rather be with the Blue Death Star (for those of you that lack basic sense, that’s AT&T.)
