We have discussed making a smoothwall box into your personal firewall in a previous article called: Make your own Hardend Internet Firewall. This article will build on that one, focusing on how to remotely control your home computers using VNC over a SECURE SSH tunnel. This might seem like a daunting task, but using this guide it will be a piece of cake. Most of the hard work has already been done for you if you are running a smoothwall firewall. Tunnelling over SSH will work with all versions of Smoothwall.
