Multiplayer on the PSP with only one UMD Print E-mail
Written by 1204

Hacker 1204 (pronounced 12 oh 4) figured out how to play multiplayer games with just one copy of the UMD. (updated: works for at least tony hawks, twisted metal, and RidgeRacer)

requires
2 people
2 psps
one copy of thug(tony hawks underground)

Step One
Person A creates game in wifi

Step Two
A presses open, chooses not to quit game

Step Three
Person B loads game up, joins A's game

Step four
Both Psp's freeze

Step five
thug is taken out of persons b's and placed into persons A's, B chooses not to quit game

step six
A takes game out, gives it to B, chooses not to quit.

Another edit after the one above:Wipeout pure i believe has a safety mechanism to stop this, as when the race starts, if you dont have the umd it doesnt work(very unfortunatly.) And gretzkys doesnt work either(less unfortunatly ps if you have gretzlys turn down the game speed to zero, much smother animations, no more head aches!)
