So you got your new airplay, and you like the quality but, you aren’t happy with the range, well you are in the right place. We have already looked at extending FM signal when we hacked the iTrip, This is another very similar and extremely simple hack to get your airplay’s range to more than double the original. Lets look at the material list shall we…
Materials: - Clear Scotch Tape
- A Piece of Wire (6-8 inches)
That’s it!!!
Directions:
Step 1:
Use a piece of scotch tape to tape your piece of wire on to the right edge of your AirPlay² transmitter.
That is the only step!
That’s all you have to do and you are done!

This very simple hack worked extremely well for me. I was happy with how my AirPlay² worked in the car, but on my home stereo, I had to be right by the tuner to even get a signal. Now, it works all around the room and the quality of the sound is a lot better.
