Here are the files and instructions for updating Windows ( 95 through XP ) with the latest drivers (as of 1-16-03) and firmware from Orinoco for the Dell Truemobile 1150 PCMCIA Wireless Card
Use these at your own risk. I used the exact files for updating my wireless card but in no way is this tested for everyones use. I highly doubt it will mess anything up but you never know. First get the latest orinoco drivers HERE for your specific windows version. These are the instructions for installing the drivers: 1. Download the Orinoco drivers and unzip them to a dedicated folder or a diskette. 2. Open the device manager, double-click on the entry for the Dell TrueMobile card then go to the Drivers tab and click the button to Update the Driver. 3. Select the option to specify a location for the driver then, click the "Have Disk" option. Choose the option for an "Integrated Card" Windows will update the driver and identify it as an Orinoco card.
Second download THIS file. This is a hex edit version of the Orinoco gold firmware update to to work for the Truemobile. Unzip it and run it. And Last if you want to run the Orinoco client mananger then download the install file HERE and then after installation relace the Cmluc.dll file with a hex edited DLL that fits your windows verison. All three hex edited files are in this download (XP, Win2k, and 98)
Thats it ! Cheers P-K {mos_sb_discuss:18}
