Enable WiFi on the Treo 650
Well over at Treo Central, user ‘Shadowmite’ has created the first ever Treo 650 Wi-Fi driver set…  Here is how to do it..
1) Unzip this file and copy the content to a SD card
2) Run the file
3) It will go [through] installing some files, followed by a soft reset
4) It will install some more files, and identify itself as T5 Wifi installer
5) It will ask for the Wifi Card…
6) Insert the card and press next, it should finish and reset again.
7) Rock and roll, experiment and figure it out…

Ok, so you want to use your treo650 on Verizon's network huh?  Well user "mines" figured out how to create a data cable and change the required settings to get this device on the Verizon network.
First things first you must contruct the data cable.

1) Tungsten T5 USB Datacable

You can buy at ebay.com around $7

2) FutureDial Mobile Phone Data Cable for LG 1200, Models (Cable #19)
You can get it at RadioShack around $20

3) Soldering Iron, Lead

Rock & Roll
1) Open the dongle in the middle of phone data cable.

If the chipset is PL2303, BingGo. This is the USB2Serial Bridge with 3.3V LineDriver.

2) Disassemble the Tungsten T5 cable and cut all wire. We need only the connector for Treo650.

3) Now, We need to wire step by step.

Important points are

PL2303 TX -------- Treo 650 RX
PL2303 RX -------- Treo 650 TX
PL2303 GND ------ Treo 650 GND

Tx and Rx must be connected each other.

5) Install FutureDial USB2Serial Driver
http://www.futuredial.com/support/d...ificdrivers.zip

6) Install BitPim to get MSL Code. Treo 650 use 115200 bps
http://bitpim.sourceforge.net

Now we must program the phone & activate it.
1. Using BitPM set the MSL to 000000
2. Call Verizon customer service and add the ESN to your account.  =)  Enjoy!
